The planned Data Center will be built on a plot (parcel) of land located on 39 Ermou Street in the Municipality of Metamorfosi, Attica. The plot has a surface area of 3389.02 m² and is located in the VIPA-VIOPA area designated mainly for heavy and light industrial uses. These uses have been approved after the urban planning analysis and have been published in the Government Gazette No. 272 dated 21-10-2011 and anticipates an organized development of Metamorphosi and Lykovrissi Municipalities of Attica. The scheduled building will be a Data Center utilizing the latest state of art technology, built according to the most up-to-date international standards for both building and data security. Greek codified legislation does not provide for the specific use. International specifications of mainly American organizations (Uptime Institute, BICSI, TIA-942) have been integrated into the design in order to achieve the building's highest possible functionality. The building has a total floor area above ground of about 4415 m² and incorporates 5 levels - basement, ground floor and 3 floors above. The coverage of the plot (buildable land) is approx. 1420 m² (42 % of the total plot). The building integrates six modules including the needed electromechanical equipment areas, conforming to the requirements of the specialized specifications. Apart from this there is an office area on the first floor of about 510 m². The basement with a surface of 1680 m² is consumed by electromechanical installations - mainly power generators necessary for the uninterrupted operation of the building. A car park for 16 cars is provided in an open part of the building on the ground floor. Rainwater will be collected with appropriate slopes from the non-built-up area and reused either as grey water of for landscape requirements. encing of the plot will be constructed as required by the relevant regulations. A reinforced concrete wall 1-meter high will be built on the plot boundaries and above it a 1.5 meter high steel railing securing the facilities. Security is also ensured with 24-hour CCTV monitoring.
