RENOVATION - INTERIOR DESIGN

Domiki Technognosia Ltd

The interior design process can fall under one of the following two sub-categories:

• The first involves decorating a space in a building which is currently being designed and will soon be under construction. In this case, the interior design of the space is part of the overall architectural design and should not be considered separate from it; the user’s needs must also always be kept in mind. When done at this stage, it allows for a greater flexibility in creating architectural space. It takes into account, in addition to what is mentioned below, the space’s design, the natural lighting, the views, etc.

• The second category refers to the improvement of the appearance and functionality of a pre-existing space. In this case the options are limited by the pre-existing building shell. They are usually restricted to more superficial interventions (artificial lighting, colors, furniture, plants, coatings and finishes, etc.).

An architectural project’s completion is contingent upon the architect delivering it complete with its interior design and decoration proposals.

Renovating a home, a shop or a business is not an easy task as it requires a very good knowledge of project management skills and a strict implementation of timetables and of the construction budget during the different phases of the project. The success or failure of a renovation is highly dependent on its style and its design.

If the renovation in question is a commercial space, the timetable is even more constraining as the owner will want it to be done as quickly as possible in order to minimize his lost market share.

Domiki Technognosia, having renovated dozens of homes, offices and commercial spaces is capable of designing, quickly implementing any project and guiding the home owner/entrepreneur in order to create a space that will be unique and consistent with his project’s budget.
